West Virginia University Student Portrait Contest:

Put this contest on your
lesson plans for early during the 2008-9 school year.

Work will be exhibited at West Virginia University and at the WVAEA Conference

Entry Limitations: Only one entry per student, please. There are no limitations on the number of entries from a school. Gallery space availability at the WVU College of Creative Arts and the WV State Art Education Conference

Time Limit: Intended to be completed within the equivalent of 2 to 4 normal class periods.
Medium: Any type of paper is acceptable, but no other media may be used. The self portrait should be done in any type of cut paper collage.
Deadline: September 2008
                Exact dead-line to be posted nearer to date.

MEMBER GRANTS

In an effort to reward membership in WVAEA, provide funding for innovative classroom projects and to support implementation of the West Virginia Content Standards and Objectives, the West Virginia Art Education Association has allocated $2000 each year to be available in grant(s) funding to its members.  The amount of a grant can vary from $50 and up.
